• Sangamon County is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented individual for the position of Grant Coordinator, to coordinate and oversee various grant program operations. This individual should have prior intimate experience with grant programs at a Federal, State, or local level of government, or non-profit.

• Identify and pursue new grant programs and/or other external funding opportunities for all County Departments.
• Assists County departments, as needed, with various grant program obligations including: developing and submitting grant applications, budgets, periodic reporting, and final closeout reports.
• Provide technical support and/or training to County departments related to grants, awards, fiscal planning, and compliance monitoring.
• Prepare and review all information required for the County’s annual SEFA and CYEFR reports.
• Assist County departments in maintaining compliance with all County grant requirements and Uniform Guidance requirements.
• Ensure proper processing of grant funds in the County’s financial ERP system.
• Support the Auditor’s office with managing IL GATA requirements.
• Review and, if needed, develop County grant policies and procedures with strong internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned by the County Board or County Auditor’s office.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related, with minimum two years of relevant experience or;
• Associate’s degree in one of these fields plus minimum four years of relevant experience.
• Experience with State and/or Federal grant programs.

Starting Salary Range (Grade 12):

• Up to $70,841

Starting two weeks vacation, three personal days, twelve paid sick leave days and thirteen paid holidays per year.
