Oldest Farmhouse

The Sangamon County Historic Preservation Commission is seeking the oldest farmhouses in Sangamon County during 2015 and part of 2016. Keep posted to this site for further updates as they occur!

	Final Event The Pre-Civil War Farmhouse Search Program concluded with a presentation of a plaque and certificates to search participants at the Sangamon County Fair on June 17, 2016. The farmhouse chosen as the oldest among the entries was featured in an article in the State Journal-Register as well as a photo show.
