Sangamon County Sample Ballots Available for Review

As the April 4 Municipal Elections approaches, and early voting beginning next week, the Sangamon County Clerk’s Office is encouraging voters to familiarize themselves with their ballot. The County Clerk has made it easy for residents to access a sample ballot by visiting their website.

"It's important for every resident to understand what is on the ballot and to have the information they need to make informed decisions," said Tom Madonia, County Board member and Vice Chair of the election oversight committee. "The sample ballot provides a preview of the races and questions that will be on the April 4th ballot, voters should take advantage of this resource."

With the changes in district maps, Sangamon County Clerk Don Gray emphasizes the importance of being informed. "With redistricting, we understand that some voters may have confusion about their new districts and ward," said Gray. " It's important that every eligible resident exercises their right to vote and the sample ballot is a helpful tool to ensure that."

For more election information residents can contact the county clerk's office at 217-753-8683 or visit the county clerk's website.
