Jimmy participated in an internship with the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office throughout the summer of 2024, and began his career as a Medico-Legal Death Investigator in October of 2024. Jimmy’s job duties consist of death investigation, assisting with forensic autopsies, collecting evidence, drawing toxicology samples, case management, helping the forensic pathologist and coroner determine the cause and manner of death, and assisting grieving families in their time of need. In September of 2025, Jimmy became a registered diplomate with the American Board of Medico-Legal Death Investigators.
