Jimmy participated in an internship with the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office throughout the summer of 2024, and began his career as a Deputy Coroner in October of 2024. As a Deputy Coroner, Jimmy’s job duties consist of death investigation, assisting with forensic autopsies, collecting evidence, drawing toxicology samples, conducting follow-up / case management on Coroner’s cases to help the Forensic Pathologist and Coroner determine the cause and manner of death, and assisting grieving families in their time of need. Jimmy looks forward to serving the residents of Sangamon County.
