Sangamon Menard Area Regional Transit (SMART) Services Unavailable

Due to an ongoing power outage resulting from yesterday's storm, all services provided by the Sangamon Menard Area Regional Transit (SMART) are unavailable today. 

SMART staff is attempting to contact individuals with scheduled rides to notify them of the disruption. However, due to the extent of the outage, reaching all affected individuals may be challenging. Many residents in Sangamon and Menard Counties are experiencing intermittent cell phone service​. 

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding during this time. Further updates will be shared with the local news media and on County social media platforms. 

Residents with additional questions may contact the Sangamon County Board Office at 217-753-6650 until power and phone service is restored to the SMART facility.
