The Sangamon County Court Services Department is accepting applications for a full-time position for a Detention Training Supervisor, at the Sangamon County Juvenile Detention Center. Applicants must have the ability to work all days and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Establishes and coordinates training and onboarding of new and veteran detention officers. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, evidence-based training and quality assurance within established policy and procedure.

Requirements

Obtained a Master's Degree in management, public administration, criminal justice, or social services, and one or more years employed in juvenile detention/residential services or, a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and two or more years employed in court services, criminal justice, or social services, of which one year must be in juvenile detention/residential services.  Must be on the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts Supervisory hiring eligibility list at the time of employment offer. Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a valid driver’s license. Must pass a criminal and DCFS background check as well as a drug screening.

Requires analytical abilities and interpersonal skills necessary to handle a diverse group of professionals, both within the organization as well as externally at all levels of county government.  

Benefits

Annual Base salary range of $76,643.00 - $95,800.00, health, dental, and life insurance; pension plan; deferred compensation option; paid vacation, sick and personal time.
