Tracy is a former member of the Auburn City Council, she was the chairman for health and safety, and health and housing. She also served on the parks committee and was a member of the zoning board. Tracy is a volunteer member of the Auburn Cemetery Association. Tracy graduated from Pawnee High School. She has been an Auburn resident since 1987, where she was employed by the City of Auburn as a police dispatcher until 1993. Tracy left the work force in 1994 to care for her medically fragile daughter.
Tracy and her husband Scott married in 1988 and together they have three children, Joshua (wife Megan), Megan, and Jacob and two grandchildren Holly and Colton.
