Craig Hall represents District 7 on the Sangamon County Board. A lifelong resident of Sangamon County and a background with the family farm (seventh generation), Sheriff’s Department and maintenance makes him very adept to the needs of the residents of District 7. He has the time needed to serve this large district and focus on family concerns, property issues, safety, environmental health, crime and economic development.
At a very young age, Craig was taught financial responsibility. Through his successful work experience, he has expertise in rules, regulations and policy procedures at township, county and state levels. He has supported smart economic development in the county without over development of prime farmland. Craig is proud that Sangamon County maintains a balanced budget without raising taxes.
Background
- Married to Susan Sexton, a programmer/analyst and has two daughters
- Has completed the Police Training Institute Course under the Sheriff’s Department and worked as a correctional officer, classification officer and emergency response team member from 1991-1995
- Graduate of Griffin High School, Lincoln Land Community College and the Capital Area Vocational Center
- One of two active farmers on the County Board
